FAQs

How far will you travel?

I mostly find myself working in and around Kildare and Leinster but will travel any direction within 60mins from my base in Kildare town. My most requested venues are: The Abbey Athy, Barberstown, The Clanard Court, Cliff at Lyons, Castle Durrow, Kilkea Castle, The K-Club, The Killashee, The Heritage, The Keadeen Hotel, Martinstown House, Burtown, Rathsallagh House, The Millhouse, Moyvalley, The Station House.

Is a Bridal make up trial necessary and whats the difference between an occasion make up appointment and a bridal trial?

Bridal make up trial is optional, once we go through a list of questions prior to the big day and I get a good feel for the look you will be going for, along with reference pictures, many of my brides opt out of the trial stage and there is never any issue on the day. The difference between a trial and occasion make up is time. A trial is a two hour appointment, an occasion make up takes 45-60mins. Trial takes place in Kildare town.

How long do you stay on the wedding day?

I am with the bridal party from early morning until ceremony departure time. This always includes touch ups after a first look before ceremony and last minute finishing touches after dressing for all members of the bridal party. This can be anywhere from five to eight hours depending on the ceremony time and size of the bridal party.

What should we wear on the wedding morning?

As much decollete on display as possible for make up as sometimes tans can be patchy and need some work and sometimes skin tones are varying through out the head, neck and chest so we need to see as much visible skin to make corrections as early as possible so there are no surprises after the dresses have gone on.

To lash lift or not to lash Lift?

If you want to have individual lashes applied on the day of the wedding no matter how natural its best to leave the lash lift. If you love a lash lift for everyday life its a great idea to time appointments that you don’t have one for a special occasion as make up application will be so much easier with natural lash and application of falsies is much smoother.

I have semi-permanent lashes, is that OK? Does it cost less if I have my own lashes?

I don’t ad an extra charge for lashes so it doesn’t cost less if you already have lashes. I can work around semi-perm lashes and prefer to use cream shadow to avoid messiness or fall out. Optimal make up application is a natural lash so I can apply a custom lash to suit your taste and style fresh on the day.
